Nilgiris Wynaad Tribal Welfare Society is an NGO set up in 1978 to provide free medical and other care to the Hill Tribe inhabitants living in the Nilgiri and Wynaad districts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, in South India. It is situated at Ambalamoola, between Gudalur and Sultan Battery, approximately equidistant from Ootacamund, Mysore and Calicut, in an area that was originally sub tropical rainforests of the Western Ghats.
